Driving score is a numerical rating that reflects the driver's behavior behind the wheel. It is calculated based on factors such as speed, acceleration, braking, and distance traveled.

We take your privacy and data security very seriously. Your driving data is protected using industry-standard methods and secure storage practices. Access to this information is restricted to authorized personnel only, and we continuously monitor our systems for potential threats.
Your driving score data may be shared with insurances provider if you join our usage-based insurance program.
By accepting Terms of Services (TOS) of Kia Connect enrollment, you are consenting to share your driving data with Kia to generate your driving score.
Yes, you can revoke your consent to share your driving data at any time by contacting Kia Connect Call Center at 844-886-9411, 7 days a week, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., PT.
Usage-Based Insurance uses driving score data to monitor driving behavior and assess risk. It allows insurers to tailor insurance policies to individual drivers based on their actual driving patterns, rather than general demographic factors such as age, gender, and location.
After enough driving information has been collected, customers will be offered the opportunity to sign up for a Usage-Based Insurance program. If a customer chooses to join the program, the customer’s driving data will be made available to insurance providers. The next time a customer requests an auto insurance quote, the insurance provider may request access to driving data to apply additional discounts.
Insurers are required to adhere to strict data privacy and security regulations when collecting and handling your data. Additionally, you have control over your data and can choose to opt-out of the Usage-Based Insurance program at any time.
A Usage-Based Insurance program provides you with the opportunity to save money on your auto insurance premium. The program allows auto insurance providers to use (with your consent) your driving data and your driving score when determining your insurance premium. You get to choose (1) if you want to allow your data to be shared and (2) if you want to share that data when looking at auto insurance quotes.

Kia Connect Lite is only available for five (5) years starting from the new vehicle retail sale/lease date as recorded by the dealer. After this fifth (5th) year date passes, Kia Connect Lite will no longer be available for the vehicle. For instance, if an owner purchases a new vehicle and immediately enrolls it in a Kia Connect ULTIMATE subscription for the first two (2) years of ownership and then cancels the subscription, Kia Connect Lite would only be available for the remaining three (3) years in the five (5) year period.
